Went to Blockhouse beach this morning for a little fishing. I couldn’t let the surfers have all the fun, so I decided to soak some bait for a little while. The line was hardly in the water before the baby catfish came out to play. Shortly after that I caught several short black drums. And to round out the day, I caught a 25″ snook on some cut mullet. It was a nice day overall with a good mixed bag of fish.
Nice catch! Just a few inches short of a bomb ass fish sandwich. I gotta get to the beach, it’s been wayyy too long. I’ve just been so deterred by the prospects of wind and weeds.
I hit the few days of small winds and waves and it was worth it. I hadn’t been out in too long. I caught a nice keeper flounder the next day and it was delicious I might add.
