Hey everyone! Surfs up and the central Florida surf fishing bite has been tough. I have been hearing LOTS of seaweed from Canaveral down to Sebastian. I’ve tried to throw lures and put out set rigs but with the pounding surf and surmounting weeds fishing has been difficult to say the least. To escape the weeds and give myself a good shot at catching a fish I went down to Sebastian inlet. We have lots of fish migrating through now feeding on mullet and pilchards. Snook in particular are hitting mullet on the outgoing tide. With 40# fluorocarbon leader and a 3/4 oz pinch weight, try free-lining a hand picked shrimp on the incoming tide for your best shot at catching a keeper. If the fish are not hitting on Shrimp or mullet, try using some FishGum to catch croakers, or pinfish.
