It’s been an interesting week for us here at Fineline Fishing Charters. Captain Justin and myself have spent much of our time trying to skirt around showers and storms in the near shore and ocean waters.
The red snapper bite has been on fire this week. Just like bull redfish or tarpon, this is currently a great catch and release fishery. Most of our landings have been on fish of 20 pounds or less. The bigger fish have been voting as well, but many of these are so powerful that they drag out anglers back into the structure and break them off. The good news is that they don’t stop eating. We know this because we can go back to the same spot the next day and hook (and land) them again.
