In the river and the canals around Satellite Beach anglers are catching nice trout, lots of mangrove snapper, and the occasional redfish and tarpon. On the beach (when weather permits), the tarpon and snook are abundant and some pompano are being caught, as well.
The offshore bite is slow with a few small dolphin being caught in 90 to 120ft of water. The bottom bite has slowed down some for mangrove snapper and the sharks have moved in making it frustrating to get fish to the boat.
