The 2023 Memorial Reef has been deployed on October 19.

Continued support by the club during the past 10 yeas has resulted in the deployment of 8 artificial reefs. We’ve enjoyed great success by being funded on a yearly basis by the FWC. The funds become available to us through the Federal taxes you pay when purchasing fishing products. SCARAB (Space Coast Artificial Reef Advisory Board) consists of Brevard County waterways commission, FSFA, CFOA and CCA which work seamlessly to make the artificial reef project a reality.

The 2023 artificial reef deployment was set for the month of August but weather delays resulted in late deployment. This particular reef consists of 15 concrete and stone modules deployed 16 miles due east of the port at a depth of 80 feet. FSFA had naming rights for this reef and the FSFA board of directors has decided to name this reef Memorial reef. This is to honor some of our long time members that have recently passed.
