I went out yesterday to try out a new spot in the kayak and I might have bit off more than I was ready for. I ended up going over 10 miles and spending almost 7 hours on the water with not much to show for it. I think I am learning that I need to do a better job with preplanning and fish in smaller bodies of water. I did find a fun red but that was about it. Open to anyone who does fish from a kayak and has some tips for a newbie!

Hey Ben, great to see you on here the last few weeks. Would love to link up with you and talk kayak fishing! By no means am I a guru of any sort. But I moved here during the pandemic, used that opportunity to spend a lot of time on the water and over the last 3 years have gone spent many, many hours and covered many miles kayak fishing here on the space coast. I’ve definitely been that new guy trying to figure it all out and would love to chat with you sometime. For what it’s worth from looking at your reports and photos you’re doing a heck of lot better than I did my first year down here that’s for sure! My email is knoxrobinson1604@gmail.com would love to hear from you!
