Kayak Fishing

The cold weather bite has been pretty hot lately! I’ve been having success late mornings throwing small paddle tails in wind protected areas. I landed this 40″ snook after skip casting my lure up into a mangrove pocket right next to a small point. A slow to medium speed retrieve was the ticket.

I’ve also been able to find some nice trout hanging out along the drop offs in moving water around spoil islands.
