snook port canaveral

Snook, redfish, flounder, and tarpon are all possible catches along the near-coastal waters outside of Port Canaveral right now. Catching any combination of three or more of them is considered a “slam.” The mullet run is super strong between the port and the tip of the cape and these species, along with quite a few others, are feeding on the mullet to fatten up for the upcoming cooler months. A live fingerling mullet on a sliding sinker or knocker rig is about all you will need to put some bend in your fishing rod right now. Lures like a Rapala X-Rap or Subwalk that imitate the small mullet will also work on most days.

The mullet run only lasts a few weeks so if you want to experience it for yourself give us a call at 321-505-8217 or book your fishing charter directly on our Fineline Fishing Charters website. Let’s go catch your next memory!
