I put in on Tuesday in Grant and shot across to some islands to get out of the wind. I picked up a trout right away along some mangrove shoreline. a few minutes later, I spotted a decent sized fish along the shoreline and made a lucky cast with a 7MRG that she pounced on. A just under slot snook and a tough fight in the mangrove roots.
Slow after that but I did hit a school of ladyfish on a shallow flat that amused me.
The trip back across the lagoon was choppy and wet. Probably the best day of the week. It’s howling out there now.
That wind is no joke dude, but at least you found some action. Nothing beats a sight cast. Good report!
Great to see you enjoying life post “work”. Nice report, finding fish in wind is tough but someone has to do it.
