It’s been another good week of fishing here along the Space Coast. This week is basically a repeat of last week for us, except that the winds were crazy on a few of the days we got out. This is no problem for our spacious and dry Skeeter bay boats, though.
Big black drum have been highlighting our anglers’ catches again this week. Some of these fish are pushing 20 pounds in the creeks, and 40 pounds in the main Indian River Lagoon itself. Captain Justin and I are still targeting these fish in the upper portion of the Indian River right now. As we move into the month of March, the big redfish should start to get better on the flats of this river. We usually start catching fish in the 30 to 45-inch range as the waters start to warm up in the Spring.
Please take a look at our website to see our available dates, what we provide for you on our charters (check the FAQ tab), and what types of fish we target throughout the year. Cobia, as an example, will be on our radar this coming month. These fish start showing up when my neighbor’s azalea bush starts to bloom-and it’s blooming now! Snook and tripletail are other species that we frequently encounter in March and April. We also have discounts on quarterly, bi-monthly, and monthly fishing packages that may be exactly what you’re looking for. We call this our “frequent angler program” A. K. A. our “monthly boat payment plan (which includes a free full time charter with captain Jim or Justin to put you on the fish). If you have any questions please feel free to contact us any time via email (listed on our website) or phone (321-505-8217) and we will try to answer any questions you may have.
Let’s go catch your next memory!
