We hope everyone is doing well after hurricane Milton’s passing last week. Here at Fineline Fishing Charters we were without power for 4 days but our trusty generator and gas grill helped us make the best of a bad situation. I’d love to tell you all about how fantastic the fishing was before the storm came through, but we had to cancel every trip for the last 8 days due to rain before the storm and of course multiple days of cleaning up after.
Monday October 14th is the first chance I had to get back on the water. The bite was about as good as you could ever imagine. My anglers landed 22 snook, 14 jack crevalle, 8 redfish, 5 ladyfish, 4 bluefish and 1 shark on their 6-hour excursion. We left them biting. Live fingerling mullet on a knocker rig did the heavy lifting on this trip. These fish are so focused on the small mullet that they would even eat a hand pick shrimp.
