It’s been getting hot on the Harris Chain of Lakes, but I’ve been having success with fishing deeper, cooler water in the lakes near submerged vegetation. Ripping chatterbait through, in, and around that has been the ticket. Another bait to try out is the hollow body frog. You can fish in and around heavy matted vegetation and stop it near holes in the area; and most of the time will be rewarded with a famous whack when one explodes on it. You can also fish soft plastics and really do well when you slow down with a speed worm or a creature style pitched it heavy cover.
