A bunch of big black drum and some jacks for Tony and his buddies from Toronto

Looks like the cold fronts are going to continue into late March and April since we had such a hot February. North winds and colder temps make the beach fishing tough as well as inshore but if we work hard, there’s some good fish to be caught. Big Black drum have been in the inlet and along the flats and bridges around Grant and Sebastian.

Beach fishing was blown out last week with the north winds and looks like it will be this week as well. The inlet bite has been decent around the fronts but bait selection changes from day to day. Greenies, pigfish and Mojarra have been the productive baits but the fish can be picky. Inshore has been good with some big snook on the flats and plenty of trout, ladyfish and jacks along the mangroves and deeper shorelines.

Lets hope the fronts subside and winter goes away and we can get into our spring patterns in the next few weeks as were are looking forward to getting off the beach and getting into the blacktips, Tarpon and big jacks!
