Tough fishing off the beach last week. The water was cold and the fish were picky. We did score on a few nice tarpon and some jacks but bite was slower than we have seen most of the summer. Bait is still a bit scarce but hopefully the mullet will start pushing south along the beaches in the next few weeks.Inshore has been decent as well as there is a lot of bait around the islands and shorelines with some trout, snook, jacks and redfish mixed in. Blacktip sharks have moved inside around the pogo pods and there’s some tarpon and jacks mixed in. Rougher seas this weekend from Ernesto has kept us off the beach but should calm down early next week and let us get out and find some tarpon and sharks.
