This past week, I focused mainly on the spoil islands, targeting areas out of the direct wind with plenty of bait activity. Smaller paddle tails in the 3–4” range and topwater lures have been the top producers. The usual suspects have been around — snook, trout, redfish, tarpon, jacks, and ladyfish.

I’ve been wrapping up by late morning, and the bite has definitely been slowing as the sun gets higher. Fortunately, the weather’s looking great for the week ahead, so it’s a perfect time to get out there and get on the fish!
