The little last bit of winter still wants to hang around the Central Florida area for another week. This past weekend was when the front moved through creating cooler temps and windy conditions. Before the front, the bite was excellent throughout the New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon waters and will continue as the days warm this week. We have been targeting several species from black drum, redfish, trout, snook and jacks. Both artificial’s and live bait have been working well. The smaller presentations have been working better with the cooler water temps and clear skies.
