redfish

It’s been a hit or miss week for us here at Fineline Fishing Charters. Heavy winds and some rain have really kept us on our toes on the days we’ve been on the water which have been few and far between due to cancellations. As the weather settles into a more predictable pattern in the upcoming weeks we should start catching more big gator trout on the flats as well as snook, baby tarpon and redfish around creek mouths and mangrove covered shorelines. Small live croakers and pogies have been our best baits in recent days however the drum are still eating shrimp fairly readily when rigged on a jig head and pitched underneath the mangrove bushes.

Hopefully we can start getting some more of the baby tarpon and snook to cooperate as well. They have been very finicky this week but we have jumped and landed a few of each. It’s good to see more redfish starting to show back up in the region and Justin and I have been very successful at site casting to quite a few fish on our recent trips. If you’d like to get on board with one of us please give us a shout at finelinefishingcharters.comor give us a call at 321-505-8217. Let’s go catch your next memory!
