lagoon redfish

As 2022 comes to a close a can think of no better way to end it than putting a client on a bucket list fish! The water temps have rebounded from the Christmas weekend freeze and the inshore fishing has picked back up. Most inshore areas have cleared up as far as water clarity and fish are once again on the move in the shallows. The better bite has been later morning through the evening as water temps on the flats approach the 70s. Cut bait, live or dead shrimp as well as Gulp bait have been the ticket. Look for fish near transitional areas where darker muddy bottoms border sandy shorelines where water temps are a few degrees warmer.
