Fishing for redfish, trout and snook using topwater has been very good this past week. The MirrOlure Top Pup and She Dog plugs have been the best baits. Offshore, bottom fishing continues to be very good now that the seas have settled down a little bit with mangrove snapper and Lane snapper still being caught in good numbers, as well as a few vermilion snapper. With May approaching, tarpon are starting to show up in their usual spots and should continue to increase in numbers as we get more into the spring and summer months.
