mosquito lagoon black drum

The past couple of weeks have been chamber of commerce kinda days here in Central Florida. We have had highs in the 80’s and clear blue skies but unfortunately you must have a little bad to appreciate the good. We have had a small front come through over the weekend into Monday bringing some rain and wind. The bite was good before the front and slowing down a bit over the weekend as the front moved through they should get right back on track as this weather moves out. The redfish, drum, snook and trout have all been chewing well from New Smyrna South through Mosquito Lagoon. Shrimp, mullet and pin fish have been working well for live bait and spoons, soft plastics and plugs for the artificial bite. The bite should only continue to get better as we move into spring followed by summer.
